In 2017 six veterinarians got together and decided to sell their individually owned veterinary hospitals simultaneously to a veterinary hospital buyer. The sale price for each hospital was greater than 2X of revenue.
These extraordinary results were achieved by collectively offering the sale of all six individually owned hospitals to four veterinary hospital aggregators. These hospital aggregators competitively bid on our six individually owned hospitals. Each veterinarian received offers on their practices from all four buyers. We six veterinarians then met with the four hospital aggregators to negotiate higher offers and choose a aggregator we were all comfortable selling to. All six hospitals were sold to the hospital aggregator selected by our group.
